Matheus Alexandre holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), a Master's degree, and is currently a PhD candidate in Sociology at the same institution's Graduate Program in Sociology (PPGS-UFC).
He has previously conducted research at the Laboratory for Studies in Politics, Education, and the City (LEPEC/UFC) and at the Center for the Analysis of Institutions, Policies, and Reflections on America and Africa (CAIPORA/UNIRIO). In July 2024, he took part in the ISGAP (Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy) Summer Course at Oxford University. He is a postgraduate fellow at the London Centre and a founding member of the Contemporary Antisemitism Studies Association (CASA).
He currently serves as Academic Production Specialist at StandWithUs Brazil, where he lectures on the history of antisemitism and its contemporary manifestations, the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and democracy and LGBTQIA+ rights in the Middle East.
His doctoral research focuses on understanding contemporary antisemitism, with particular emphasis on its manifestations within left-wing political circles in Brazil.

Matheus Alexandre é graduado em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), mestre e, atualmente, doutorando em Sociologia pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia da mesma instituição (PPGS-UFC).
Já atuou como pesquisador no Laboratório de Estudos em Política, Educação e Cidade (LEPEC/UFC) e no Centro de Análise de Instituições, Políticas e Reflexões da América e da África (CAIPORA/UNIRIO). Em julho de 2024, participou do Summer Course do ISGAP (Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy), na Oxford University. É postgrad fellow no London Centre e membro fundador da Contemporary Antisemitism Studies Association (CASA).
Atua como Especialista de Produção Acadêmica na StandWithUs Brasil, onde leciona sobre a história do antissemitismo e suas manifestações contemporâneas, a história do conflito israelo-palestino, a democracia e os direitos LGBTQIA+ no Oriente Médio.
Sua pesquisa de doutorado dedica-se a compreender o antissemitismo contemporâneo, com ênfase em suas manifestações no campo político da esquerda no Brasil.
